Structure and weight
DPP2000 aramid conveyor belt: usually adopts a straight warp and straight weft structure, consisting of warp aramid cords and horizontal nylon cords on both sides for protection. It is a single-layer design, with a thin and soft lightweight belt body.
Steel wire rope conveyor belt: composed of core rubber, steel wire rope, covering layer, and edge rubber, with multiple layers of steel wire rope arranged in parallel at certain intervals as the main load-bearing part. The overall thickness is relatively thick and hard.
Comparison: The weight of aramid conveyor belt material is about 30% lighter than that of steel wire rope belts of the same grade. During installation and operation, it has lower load requirements on the conveyor, which can reduce equipment energy consumption and operating costs.
physical property
Strength and elongation:
DPP2000 aramid conveyor belt: aramid fibers have high strength and modulus, and their strength retention rate is high. The elongation rate is extremely small, usually less than 0.5%, and they can maintain dimensional stability under long-term use and heavy loads.
Steel wire rope conveyor belt: With high tensile strength, it allows for the use of high strength, high safety factor, and extremely small elongation, it can meet the needs of long-distance and large capacity material transportation.
Comparison: Both can meet the requirements of high-strength conveying in terms of strength and elongation, but the lightweight of aramid conveyor belts gives them greater advantages at the same strength.
Impact resistance:
DPP2000 aramid conveyor belt: Due to the strength and toughness of aramid fibers, the aramid conveyor belt with a straight warp and straight weft structure is reinforced with fibers in both warp and weft directions. The entire skeleton layer structure is dense, which can effectively prevent the conveyor belt from being penetrated or longitudinally cut by sharp materials. Even in situations where the material drop is large and the impact force is strong, the belt damage can be minimized.
Steel wire rope conveyor belt: It has excellent impact resistance and can withstand certain material impacts. However, if sharp impurities are inserted into the conveyor belt or steel wires are pulled out of the conveyor belt, it may cause longitudinal tearing of the conveyor belt.
Comparison: Aramid conveyor belts perform better in impact resistance, especially in preventing sharp material punctures and cuts.
