1、Product Overview
The Oil Resistant Conveyor Belt is a high-performance material handling solution engineered to withstand prolonged exposure to various oil-based media. Unlike conventional belts that degrade in oily environments, this belt utilizes nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) as its core material, leveraging the polar -CN groups in NBR's molecular structure to resist oil penetration and swelling. This design ensures reliable operation in industries where oil contact is inevitable, such as petroleum refining, automotive manufacturing, and food processing. 2、Core Advantages
(1)Superior Oil Resistance
Formulated with 35-50% acrylonitrile content, the belt demonstrates exceptional resistance to mineral oils, vegetable fats, and hydraulic fluids. Testing according to ASTM D471 shows less than 5% volume change after immersion in 150°C mineral oil for 72 hours, far exceeding the performance of natural rubber belts. The NBR compound specifically resists non-polar and weakly polar oil media, while maintaining flexibility in temperatures ranging from -30°C to +130°C.
(2)Multi-Layer Reinforced Structure
The belt features a multi-ply design with high-tenacity polyester canvas carcass, enhancing tensile strength (up to 4000 N/mm) and tear resistance in line with ISO 505 standards. The top cover, made of oil-resistant NBR or food-grade PU, withstands abrasion from oily materials, while the bottom layer resists frictional damage. This structure ensures minimal elongation (<300% at break) even under heavy loads and oily conditions.
(3)Versatile Safety Features
In addition to oil resistance, the belt incorporates anti-static and flame-retardant properties, making it suitable for hazardous environments. For food applications, variants with FDA-compliant PU coatings meet strict hygiene standards, ensuring safe transportation of oily food products like nuts and confectionery without contamination.
